1. Why do I need an attorney to represent me regarding my oil and gas interests?

Only an attorney can advise you as to your legal rights.  In addition, an attorney can represent you in your negotiations and draft agreements or revisions to agreements that protect your interests.  Unlike gas marketers or “consultants” who are primarily interested in the deal or the money part of the transaction and who may have divided loyalties between their own interests, those of the gas company and those of their clients, an attorney’s sole concern is in representing their client’s best interest.

2. Is it more expensive to hire a lawyer than a gas marketing firm?

While every client’s individual needs are different, it is often no more expensive to hire a lawyer than a gas marketer.  Since most landowners/oil and gas owners have concerns and interests beyond just the money part of the deal, can you really afford not to have a lawyer representing you?

3. Will I be able to work directly with an attorney or will I be dealing primarily with a paralegal?

All clients will be dealing directly with one of our experienced attorneys.  We have two office locations in Western Pennsylvania to serve you and if those locations are not convenient, other arrangements can be made.

4. How do I set up a consultation?

Please go to our contact page and send us an email with the details regarding your oil and gas matter and someone will get back to you. You can also contact one of our offices by telephone.
